Hillsboro police

300 block of N. Birch St., Hillsboro

Tanner Lee Jasper, 14, 315 N Birch St, Hillsboro, sideswiped a 2013 Chevrolet sedan and a 2005 Mazda sedan, both registered to William A. Olsen, same address, in a 2009 Dodge sport utility vehicle registered to Olsen. Police reported Jasper left the scene.

Indigo Rd. north of 140th Rd.

Sydney Morgan Coughlin, 22, 3908 E. Paradise Ave., Visalia, Calif., lost control of her 2005 Ford sedan and struck a guardrail after going off the road at 10 p.m. April 3. Coughlin was taken by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital with possible injuries. Police reported she was talking on her mobile phone at the time. The vehicle had to be towed.

Kanza Rd. north of 230th Rd.

Andrew Michael Wiens, 34, 212 N. E St., Herington, lost control of his 1999 Ford pickup and rolled the vehicle after going off the road at 7:20 a.m. April 5. Police reported no injuries. The vehicle had to be towed.

U.S. 56 north of 280th Rd.

Travis Blake Novak, 21, 421 Garden, Salina, crossed the centerline, went into the ditch, and rolled a 2000 Chevrolet pickup registered to William R. Novak, 2112 320th Rd., Lost Springs, several times at 4:50 a.m. April 6. Novak and passenger John Thomas Bender, 23, 1210 Hartford, Salina, suffered injuries and were taken by ambulance to St. Luke Hospital. Passenger Gabriel Austin Williams, 20, 114 W. Wilson, Salina, was ejected through the back window, suffered an incapacitating injury, and was taken by helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The vehicle had to be towed.

Deer strikes

Sandra Marie Ortiz, 38, 13498 K-4, Maple Hill, struck and killed a deer with a 2007 Cadillac sedan registered to Richard B. Reed, same address, at 9 p.m. March 30 on U.S. 77 north of 210th Rd.

Andrew James Stuchlik, 28, 800 N. Ash St., Abilene, struck a deer that was already dead in the roadway with his 2005 Chevrolet coupe at 7:05 a.m. April 2 on K-15 south of 300th Rd. The vehicle had to be towed.
