Indigo Rd. south of 120th Rd.
Micheal Allen Bodiford, 25, 617 E. 6th St., Hutchinson, struck Terry L. Bebermeyer, 56, 613 S. Main St., Hillsboro, when Bebermeyer slowed down to avoid a deer on the road at 8 p.m. Oct. 19. Bodiford was driving his 1997 Honda coupe, and Bebermeyer was driving his 2010 Ford sedan. No injuries were reported.
190th Rd. west of Limestone Rd.
Garrett Wayne Alleven, 14, 1450 Sunflower Rd., Marion, swerved to miss a deer, slid sidewise into the ditch, and rolled a 1993 Ford coupe at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 22. Alleven suffered possible injuries but refused ambulance transport. The vehicle, owned by Barbara B. Alleven, same address, had to be towed. The accident report said Alleven was not in compliance with license restrictions for being under 16.
60th Rd. west of Timber Rd.
Caroline Shea Beal, 16, 2535 N.W. 180th St., Burns, went off the road, lost control of a 1997 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle, and rolled the vehicle at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 22. Beal and passengers Ezabella G. Beal, 13, Madelaine Beal, 11, and Margaret Beal, 13, all same address, suffered possible injuries but refused ambulance transport. The vehicle, owned by John B. Beal, same address, had to be towed.
U.S. 56/77 junction
Marvin F. Martin, 78, 2508 S.W. Kingsrow Rd., Topeka, pulled his 2012 Buick sedan out in front of a 2003 Freightliner semi driven by Ivan W. Enegren, 80, 1204 W. College St., Blackwell, Okla., at 4:23 p.m. Saturday, and Enegren rear-ended Martin. Martin and his passenger, Barbara Martin, 76, same address, suffered injuries and were taken by ambulance to St. Luke Hospital. Enegren had a possible injury but was not transported. Both vehicles had to be towed. A fence owned by Kansas Department of Transportation and pasture owned by Nick Krause of Marion suffered damage.
Deer strikes
Morris E. Ewert, 63, 142 E. 140th Rd., Canton, struck and killed a deer at 10:10 p.m. Oct. 17 on K-15 north of 150th Rd. in a 2002 bus owned by Goessel USD 411.
Christine Marie Dahl, 26, 3450 N. Ridgewood St., Apt. 721, Wichita, struck and killed a deer at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 18 on U.S. 77 north of 250th Rd. in a 2005 Honda sedan owned by Lawrence W. Dahl, 7824 Creekview Dr., Lincoln, Neb.
Chad Michael Graham, 18, 8022 U.S. 50, struck a deer at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 21 on U.S. 50 east of Turkey Creek Rd. in a 2007 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle owned by Lori Karen Graham, same address.
Sara L. Dawson, 40, 1162 C Rd., Cedar Point, struck a deer at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 23 in a 2011 GMC sport utility vehicle owned by Prairie Oaks LLC, same address.
Carl C. Holdren, 39, 410 S. Ash St., McPherson, struck a deer at 8 a.m. Oct. 23 on U.S. 56 west of Pawnee Rd. in his 2006 Saturn sedan.
