60th Road west of Remington Road

Brandon Allan Farrar, 33, of Peabody, lost control of his 1979 Chevrolet pickup on the shoulder, overcorrected, and drove through a barbed-wire fence at 12:43 p.m. May 6. No injuries were reported.

120th Road west of Alamo Road

Jeremy L. Voth, 28, of Goessel struck a deer with his 2006 Chevrolet pickup at 8:45 p.m. May 8.

150th road east of K-15

James M. Hoffman, 52, of Hillsboro struck and killed a deer with his 2001 Toyota sedan at 6:25 a.m. May 7.

Indigo Road south of 90th Road

Scott E. Crawford, 43, of Wichita struck and killed a cow with his 2001 Ford sport utility vehicle at 9:35 p.m. May 7. At 9:48 p.m., William W. Newlin, 70, of Wichita struck the cow, which was still in the roadway, with his 2009 Ford sedan.

Intersection of U.S. 50 and U.S. 77

Lenny Grier, 57, of Troy, Mo., entered the roundabout at too high of speed, hit the center of the intersection, hit the outer curb, and overturned, landing in a ditch in a 2013 Peterbilt semi owned by Coastal Carriers of Troy, Mo., at 6 a.m. May 4. No injuries were reported. Newlin was taken by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

K-15 south of 220th Road

Richard D. Loewen, 44, of Hillsboro struck a deer with his 1991 Buick sedan at 9:15 p.m. May 7.

Nighthawk Road north of 310th Road

Brenden Michael Cole, 20, of Tampa lost control on wet gravel and went off the road, hitting a barbed-wire fence, embankment, and tree with a 2000 Chevrolet sedan belonging to Brad D. Cole, also of Tampa, at 9:10 a.m. May 2. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 77 north of 360th Road

Robert J. Hernandez, 20, of Fort Riley fell asleep and drove through a barbed-wire fence in his 1999 Ford coupe at 2:20 a.m. May 4. No injuries were reported.

U.S. 77 north of U.S. 50

Sherri L. Nelson, 56, of Lincolnville was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup owned by Terry A. Nelson, Lincolnville, when a bearing went out, causing a fire at 2:20 p.m. April 29. The fire went out after the truck was stopped. No injuries were reported.
