These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Timber Rd. north of 170th Rd.

A medical condition is being blamed for Chelsi R. Baker, 28, of Soloman driving her 2011 Kia Optima off the road and into the right ditch at 6:35 p.m. Dec. 9.

According to deputy Kaylan Miles’s report, she became nauseated and light-headed as she began to turn onto Timber, and the next thing she knew someone was asking her a question as she sat with her car door open in the ditch.

The car remained drivable with damage to its right front. Although she was listed as injured on Miles’s report, she was not taken to a hospital by an ambulance. No tickets were issued.

US-50 east of Old Mill Rd.

Michael G. Warner, 67, Florence, hit a deer at 5:56 p.m. Dec. 11 with his 2016 Dodge Caravan in which Tracye E. Warner, 66, of the same address was riding.

The van sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, and left front and was towed.

K-15 south of 140th Rd.

Jennifer L. Phillips, 44, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 7:20 a.m. Dec. 12 with her 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer, which remained drivable with damage to its left front and hood.

Indigo Rd. south of 120th Rd.

Jeremy A. Hamm, 44, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 6:22 p.m. Dec. 12 with his 2013 Toyota Camry in which Michelle M. Sayed, 47, of the same address was riding.

The car sustained damage to its front, right front, and hood but remained drivable.

190th Rd. east of Pawnee Rd.

Jasee G. Hamm, 19, Hillsboro, hit an escaped cow owned by William T. Ledford of Marion at 11:20 p.m. Dec. 12 while she was driving a 2009 Ford Edge owned by Jason P. Hamm of her address.

Callie L. Plenert, 20, rural Hillsboro, was a passenger in the sport utility vehicle, which remained drivable with damage to its entire front third, hood, and undercarriage.

HILLSBORO

221 N. Washington St.

Jerald D. Brown, 76, pulled his 2012 Toyota Camry to the right at 12:54 p.m. Dec. 12 to avoid traffic in an alley behind his home and struck an Atmos Energy gas meter.

His Camry sustained a minor scrape to its left front quarter panel.

202 S. Main St.

A 2008 Honda Accord struck a parked 2008 Toyota Prius at 3:30 p.m. Friday while the Accord was being backed out of a parking space at Hillsboro Ford.

The Accord, owned and driven by Bonnie J. Darwin, 76, Hillsboro, was undamaged. The Prius, owned by Josiah B. Jost of Hillsboro, sustained scratches on its rear bumper.
