The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

U.S. - 50 near Union Road:

Michael D. Wedel, 38, Newton was westbound on U.S. 50 near Union Road in a 2003 Kia van at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 16 when a deer came out of a north ditch and was struck. Amy Wedel, 36, of the same address was a passenger. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Matt Vogt reported the passengers were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-77 near milemarker 96:

Glenn H. Peavey, 21, Salina, was northbound on U.S.-77 near milemarker 96 in a 2005 Toyota passenger car at 6:25 p.m. Nov. 16 when a deer came out of an east ditch and was struck. Deputy Vogt reported the driver was not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-50 near milemarker 303:

Kevin L. Wilder, 44, Hesston, was eastbound on U.S.-50 near milemarker 303 in a 2003 Ford Focus at 5:15 a.m. Nov. 17 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Jim Philpott reported the driver was not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

C Street near Lincoln, Hillsboro:

Dianne K. Sanders, 16, 205 S. Main, Hillsboro, was eastbound on C Street near Lincoln, Hillsboro, in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am at 8:03 p.m. Nov. 17, and slowed down because of a dead-end when John Charles Hein, 18, 1181 280th, Durham, struck the vehicle after completing a right turn from Lincoln Street to C. He was driving a 1995 Dodge Dakota pickup, registered to owned Kevan V. Hein, of the same address. The car was registered to Tammy D. Sanders of the same address as the driver. Passengers in the car were Nichole M. Carlson, 17, 214 S. Kennedy, Tarra M. Heinricks, 16, 1106 Bradford Court, Hayley N. Jirak, 16, 707 W. A, Bethany L. Hawkinson, 17, 221 Floral Drive, and Benjamin L. Bebermeyer, 15, 613 S. Main, all of Hillsboro. A passenger in the pickup was Robert I. McClelland, 17, 812 N. Lawrence, Durham. Hillsboro Police Officer Brad Richards reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.

K-15 near 130th Road:

Yoben B. Ratzloff, 26, 716 S. Washington, Hillsboro, was northbound on K-15 near 130th Road in a 2004 Pontiac passenger car at 11:15 p.m. Nov. 17 when a deer came from a west ditch and was struck. Maron County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey reported the driver was not injured and more than $1,000 in damages.
