The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Pawnee Road near 180th:

Aaron D. Unruh, 30, 1724 170th, Marion, was northbound on Pawnee Road near 180th in a 1986 Ford pickup at 7:50 a.m. May 8, when he observed smoke coming from the dash of the truck. The driver pulled over and discovered the vehicle was on fire. Marion County Undersheriff David Huntley reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.

French Creek access road, near 210th Road:

Darrell L. Winters, 66, Wichita, was eastbound on the access road to French Creek near 210th Road, Marion Reservoir, in a 1995 vehicle at 10:23 a.m., May 10, when the driver attempted to turn right, striking a stop sign and guard post. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy Lyle Gillett.
