The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Kanza Road near 190th Road:

Russ Jost, 49, of 2125 Jade Rd., Hillsboro, was northbound on Kanza Road near 190th Road in a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup at 5:28 p.m. July 11, when the trailer he was towing began to fishtail. He lost control and entered a west ditch and rolled onto it’s side. The vehicle was registered to Ag Service, of 1830 Kanza Rd., Hillsboro.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Jost was not injured.

U.S. 50 at mile marker 315:

A deer was struck by a 2004 Chrysler 300, driven by Melynnie M. Williams, 50, of Newton, at 12:45 a.m. July 14. The incident occurred on U.S. 50 at milemarker 315. The vehicle was registered to Thomas R. Williams, of Newton.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Williams was not injured.

K-15 near 280th Road:

Richard Smith, 54, of Junction City, was southbound on K-15 near 280th Road in a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass at 9:01 a.m. July 15, when a tire blew out and he lost control, going across K-15 and striking a guardrail on the east side. The vehicle was registered to Howard S. Smith, of Junction City.

Smith was possibly injured but the sheriff’s report did not indicate that he was transported.

U.S.56/77 near 210th Road:

Barbara L. Craney, 58, of P.O Box 15, Lincolnville, was southbound on U.S. 56/77 near 210th Road in a 1991 Pontiac passenger car at 12:45 p.m. July 15, when a deer came from a west ditch and was struck.

Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Craney was not injured.
