Gary Floyd, 60, 1493 S. 3100 Road, Herington, struck Marion Cox, 57, 8900 Sandy Creek Drive, Hillsboro, driving east on U.S. 56 at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 4. Floyd struck the trailer of the 2002 semitruck registered to Cox. Floyd was driving his 1998 Chrysler passenger car. No injuries were reported in the accident.

U.S. 56 and Kanza Road

James Funk, 73, 1525 190th Road, Marion, struck Sarah Somers, 23, 2223 Iron Horse Road, Galva, driving west on U.S. 56 at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 1. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Funk was driving his 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck. Somers was driving a 2001 Ford passenger car registered to Jessica Somers, 2525 S. Oak Pass St., Wichita.
