The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
600 block of Doyle Street, Florence
A 1993 Nissan pickup struck a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup that was legally parked in the 600 block of Doyle St., Florence, at 1 a.m. May 30, and then the driver fled the scene. The parked truck was owned by Mark Slater, 233 W. Sixth St., Florence.
U.S. 56 near K-15
The driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was eastbound on U.S. 56 near K-15 at 7:50 a.m. June 3, when a deer ran into the path of the truck and was struck. The vehicle was registered to Salina Scale Sales/Service, Salina, and the driver was 45 years old and from Salina but the sheriff’s accident report did not list the driver’s name.
The driver was not injured.
120th Road near K-15
Alice Jean Regier, 55, Turpin, Okla., was westbound in a 2007 Dodge passenger car on 120th Road near K-15 at 9 a.m. June 4, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck.
The driver was not injured.
U.S. 56 near Goldenrod Road
Sean A. Sullivan, 43, 117 A Road, Goessel, was not injured when his 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer struck a deer at 10:30 a.m. June 4, on U.S. 56 near Goldenrod Road.
300 block of Diamond Road
A deer was struck at 6 a.m. June 5 by a 2000 Pontiac passenger car driven by Bruce A. Martens, 58, 460 310th Road, Durham, when the animal entered the road in the 300 block of Diamond Road.
The driver was not injured.
1900 block of Goldenrod Road
Savik Bradley Virgil Howard, 19, 300 Lincolnville Ave., Lincolnville, lost control of a 2005 Pontiac passenger car on loose gravel at 11:45 a.m. June 5 in the 1900 block of Goldenrod Road, causing the car to enter a north ditch, roll, and land on its roof.
The driver was injured and was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital, Hillsboro.
300 block of North Ash Street, Hillsboro
A 1986 Chevrolet passenger car, driven by Katherine L. Bohanon, 23, 309 N Lincoln St., Hillsboro, was backing from a curb in a parking lot in the 300 block of North Ash Street, Hillsboro, at 6:40 a.m. June 7, and struck the front of a 2004 Dodge pickup, driven by Bradford L. Young, 48, 306 N. Birch St., Hillsboro.
No injuries were reported.
U.S. 50 and U.S. 77, Florence
Virtie Belle Holtzen, 83, Kingman, Ariz., was westbound on U.S. 50 in a 2002 Buick Century at 7:30 a.m. June 8, and did not see a curb in the roundabout because of rain and low visibility. The vehicle struck the inside curb, went north, struck an outer curb, and entered a ditch.
No injuries were reported.
U.S. 50 near Yarrow Road
A deer came out of a north ditch on U.S. 50 near Yarrow Road at 10 a.m. June 8, and struck the side of a 2007 Honda Accord, driven by Michelle Anne Ewert, 26, Newton.
The driver was not injured.
U.S. 77 near 140th Road
Jolene Rena Pinnell, 35, McPherson, was northbound on U.S. 77 near 140th Road in a 2010 Chevrolet van at 2:35 p.m. June 8, when a deer came from a west ditch and ran into the side of the van.
Passengers in the van were Kayla, 19, Lakin, no age listed, and Miley, 1, McCarty, of Cheney, and Raymond Pinnell, 9, of the same address as the driver.
The driver had possible injuries but was not transported to a hospital
