The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
1400 Block of 290th Road near Nighthawk
Kenneth D. Hein, 57, 709 Lawrence St., Durham, was driving west on 290th Road at 9:31 p.m. May 14 in a 2001 Ford passenger car, when a deer ran into the path of the vehicle and was struck. Iva J. Hein, 63, of the same address as driver, was a passenger.
No injuries were reported.
Milepost 299 on U.S. 50 near Turkey Creek Road
At 9:35 p.m. May 14, Stephen C. Rose, 35, of Derby, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban east on U.S. 50 when a deer ran on to the road and was struck. Amy Rose, 35, Madelyne Rose, 6, and Isabelle Rose, 4, of the same address as the driver, were passengers.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
U.S. 56/77 near 290th Road
Marcia D. Kanagy, 49, of Lawrence, was driving a 2001 Toyota passenger car north on U.S. 56/77 at 11 a.m. May 15, when a deer came out of a west ditch and was struck.
The driver was not injured.
600 Block of North Newton Street near 6th, Lincolnville
Marvin E. Peterson, 51, 601 N. Newton St., Lincolnville, was backing out of a driveway in the 600 block of North Newton Street, Lincolnville, at 12:05 p.m. May 15 in a 1990 Nissan pickup with a load of tree branches when the truck struck a parked car registered to Quentin G. Wacker, 301 Southberry St., Lost Springs.
No injuries were reported.
Old Mill Road near 50th
Kevin R. Burke, 48, 701 Maple St., Peabody, was driving a 2009 Dodge truck south on Old Mill Road at 1 p.m. May 16, when a dog ran out of a west ditch and was struck.
The driver was not injured.
290th Road near Quail Creek
A deer was struck at 8:45 p.m. May 19 by a 2000 Chrysler passenger car driven by Jennifer S. Brunzell, 33, 1931 300th Road, Lincolnville. Cory Brunzell, 15, of the same address as the driver, was a passenger.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
Grand Avenue, Hillsboro
Arpa Ewert, 89, 107 N. Cedar St., Hillsboro, was westbound on Grand Avenue in a 1989 Chevrolet passenger car at 6:44 p.m. May 6, when a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, driven by John A. Marshall, 81, 2575 Ulysses Road, Lincolnville, backed from a parking stall, striking the car.
There were no injuries reported.
