The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
K-150 at milemarker 4:
Anna Elizabeth Schmidt, 20, of Hesston, was eastbound on K-150 at milemarker 4 in a 1998 Mitsubishi passenger car at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11, when she crossed the centerline and hit Chad W. Ring, 35, of Kansas City, who was westbound on K-150 in a 2000 Peterbilt truck. Schmidt had possible injuries. Ring was not injured.
U.S. 56 near Eagle Road:
Orville W. Koehn, 66, of Canton, was westbound on U.S. 56 near Eagle Road in a 2003 Dodge Caravan at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 11, when three deer ran from a north ditch and one was struck. Juanita Koehn, 62, same address as driver, was a passenger.
Alamo Road near 120th Road:
Robert Douglas Streight, 25, of 205 S. Buller St., Goessel, was northbound on Alamo Road near 120th Road in a 1995 Chevrolet passenger car owned by Carole J. Bennett, of the same address as driver, at 3 a.m. Dec. 12, when the Chevrolet left the roadway and overturned. Gwendolynn Deeann Fry, 28, of Canton, was a passenger. According to Marion County Sheriff’s department, driver and passenger left the scene without reporting.
Indigo Road near 150th Road:
Helmut Wituk, 61, of 1781 280th Road, Marion, was northbound on Indigo Road near 150th Road in a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am at 7:25 p.m. Dec. 13, when a deer ran in front of the vehicle and was struck. The driver was not injured.
U.S. 56 near K-15:
Marshal P. Morgan, 30, of Mulvane, was eastbound on U.S. 56 at milemarker 284 near K-15 in a 2001 Mitsubishi passenger car, owned by Donald D. Sharp, Wichita, at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 16, when a deer ran in front of the vehicle and was stuck. The driver was not injured.
190th Road near Quail Creek Road:
Wilma I. Gilmer, 87, of 1738 Upland Road, Marion, was eastbound on 190th Road near Quail Creek Road in a 1990 Oldsmobile passenger car at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17, when a deer ran in front of the car and was stuck. The driver was not injured.
