Indigo Road near 110th

Wiley C. Dutkiewlez, 25, Hutchinson, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet passenger vehicle, registered to St. Francis Community Services Inc. of Salina, south on Indigo Road at 6:40 p.m. March 13, when he lost control of the vehicle on the slush covered road, entered an east ditch striking a sign post, and then hit the embankment. D.J. Hall, 14, 306 N. Olive St., Peabody, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Milepost 296 U.S. 56 near Nighthawk Road

Raymond R. Hiebert, 83, Galva, was driving east on U.S. 56 in a 1992 Chevrolet pickup at 9:30 a.m. March 16, when a deer entered in to the path of the truck and was struck. Elsie Hiebert, no age given in report, Galva, was a passenger.

U.S. 77 near 260th Road

Evan Donald Reece, 21, Garden City, was driving a 1998 Pontiac passenger vehicle north on U.S. 77, when a deer came out of a ditch on to the road and was struck. Zachary James Symmonds, 21, Holcomb, was a passenger in the vehicle.

U.S. 56 near Remington Road

Marsha Setzkorn-Meyer, 46, 2649 Limestone Road, Tampa, was traveling west on U.S. 56 at 8:36 p.m. March 17 in a 2008 Nissan passenger vehicle, when a deer entered the path of the vehicle from a south ditch and was struck.

1300 block Diamond Road near 120th

Holly Renae Spoonemore, 17, 384 140th Road, Hillsboro, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle, registered to Gregory K. Washmon, 615 180th Road, Hillsboro, at 7:40 p.m. March 20 north on Diamond Road, when she lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline, and struck a 1994 Chrysler passenger vehicle head on. Fern M. Bartel, 59, 1364 Diamond Road, Hillsboro, was driving the Chrysler, and Karen Wu, 16, was a passenger. Drivers and passenger where transported by Marion County EMS to Hillsboro Community Hospital and Newton Medical Center with possible injuries.

Sunflower Road near 140th

Dennis Leroy Preston, 63, Newton, was driving a 2008 GMC pickup, registered to Equiplease LC of Wichita, north on Sunflower Road at 7:20 a.m. March 22, when a deer entered in to the path of the truck and was struck.

Milepost 297 U.S. 56 near Nighthawk Road

Lonnie J. Benda, 21, 530 N. Cedar St., Marion, was traveling east on U.S. 56 in a 1991 Chevrolet pickup at 2:14 a.m. March 24, when an unknown vehicle passed the truck, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, on to a south shoulder, then entered a north ditch, and rolled the truck on its top.

Karis Nicole Janzen, 18, 1419 Chisholm Trail, Hillsboro, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet passenger vehicle at 8:30 p.m. March 24 north on K-15, when a deer entered in to the path of the vehicle and was struck. The vehicle was registered to Marlin Janzen of the same address as the driver.
