Van hits a cow on Indigo Road near 130th
Charles Gordon Brown, 35, 403 N. Walnut St., Peabody, was northbound in a 2005 Chrysler van on Indigo Road at 9:02 p.m. Aug. 27, when a cow came out of a ditch. The driver could not avoid hitting the animal.
Parked car struck in parking lot, Hillsboro
Kiana M. Fairchild, 33, 405 E. First St., Hillsboro, was driving a 2002 Dodge pickup at 12:20 p.m. Sept. 4, attempting to park in a stall at 609 Western Heights Circle, Hillsboro, when a cattle guard on the front of the pickup struck a 2002 Ford passenger car that was parked on the lot. The car belonged to Christina E. McCall of Phillipsburg.
Parked car struck at 10 Pioneer Court, Marion
A 2007 Saturn passenger car, driven by Gwendolyn S. Heckathorn, Wichita, was backing from a parking stall at 10 Pioneer Court at 12:17 p.m. Sept. 5, when it struck the driver’s side door of a 1998 Ford Mustang, owned by Christopher Walker of Wichita, that was legally parked on the road.
Two cars collide at 290th and Wagon Wheel roads
Julie Marie Lazos, 27, Winfield, was backing from Wagon Wheel Road at 5 p.m. Sept. 6 in a 2003 Lincoln passenger car, when she backed into a 2000 Ford van, driven by Angelica Jo Stika, 40, Burdick.
Car leaves roadway on Old Mill Road near 30th Road
A 1995 Ford Thunderbird, driven by Kristin May McGonigal, 18, 711 N. Olive St., Peabody, was southbound on Old Mill Road at 6:25 p.m. Sept. 9, when the drive looked away from the road and the vehicle went into a ditch. The driver then overcorrected causing the vehicle to travel sideways through a ditch before coming to rest in a field facing east. Emily R. Frye, 19, Newton, was a passenger.
