400 block of South Floral Street, Hillsboro

A 2006 Ford F-150 pickup, owned by Benjamin Dalke, 206 N. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, was parked in the 400 block of South Floral Street, Hillsboro, and was struck. The accident was reported at 12:20 a.m. June 26.

100 block of North Main Street, Hillsboro

Kenneth A. Funk, 2050 Kanza Road, Hillsboro, observed a small dent on the driver’s door of his 2002 Chevrolet pickup at 2:20 p.m. June 30, while the vehicle was parked in a lot in the 100 block of North Main Street, Hillsboro.

100 Block of Chicago Avenue near Broadway Street, Lost Springs

Leann Pankratz, 19, 308 Lombard St., Lost Springs, was backing from a drive in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue, Lost Springs, at 12:10 a.m. July 1 in a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, and struck a gas meter.

Milepost 301 U.S. 56 near Cedar Street, Marion

Becky Wiggin, 61, of Kalispell, Mont., was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee east on U.S. 56 at 10 p.m. July 3, when a deer came out of a north ditch and was struck.

The driver was not injured.

Milepost 300 U.S. 50 near U.S. 77

Jack Kenworthy, 26, of Killeen, Texas, was driving a 2006 Dodge Dakota west on U.S. 56 at 2:06 p.m. July 5 and made a U-turn in front of a 2008 Dodge Caravan, driven by Darrell Hughes, 84, of Dodge City, causing the van to strike the pickup. Albino Garcia III, 29, of Killeen, Texas, was a passenger in the pickup.

Hughes was transported to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, with injuries.

Sunflower Road near 160th

Amy Vogel, 47, 515 S. Cedar St., Marion, was driving a 2007 KIA Sportage on Sunflower Road at 11:45 a.m. July 8, when a turkey flew up toward the vehicle and was struck.
