Well, we knew the Patagonian cavy needed to be caught. And we knew the large rodent could be a larger animal’s lunch. But when it happened, it made us sad.
That’s what happened Sunday. A dog caught the unusual animal that eluded humans for weeks and killed it.
We know it’s nature and this is what happens but it still makes us sad.
I guess the bright side of this story is the animal didn’t die at the hands of a human — either by accident or intentionally. That was the purpose of doing the story — besides the human interest aspect.
The circle of life can be cruel and callused but it is always interesting.
