‘Sister Act’ to take stage in Hillsboro

Hillsboro High School’s fall musical, “Sister Act,” will be performed at 7:30 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

In the musical, nightclub singer Deloris Van Cartier goes into hiding in a convent after she witnesses a murder. There, she turns the convent choir into a jazzy singing group.

Nineteen students have rehearsed since Sept. 1 to perform in the musical, director Lynn Just said.

“This has been a fantastic cast to work with,” Just said. “They have been so positive and encouraging; they have been a joy to work with.”

The performance will highlight several talented upper-class students. Tickets can be bought online on the school’s website for $10.
