The cast for a fall musical has been selected and rehearsal has begun. The junior and senior high school music and drama departments will present “Fiddler on the Roof,” Nov. 14 and 15.
“Fiddler on the Roof” is the story of Tevye, a poor dairyman in the small Russian village of Anatevka. Tevye tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
The cast for the musical includes Chris Loucks as Tevye; Shelby Elliott as his wife, Golde; Bethany Loucks as his daughter, Tzeitel; Traylee Woodruff as his daughter, Hodel; Chandra Rippe as his daughter, Chava; Danielle Savage as his daughter, Shprintze; Kaitlyn Preheim as his daughter, Bielke; Sarah Hofkamp as the matchmaker and Fruma Sarah, Lazar wolf’s dead wife; Josh Klarmann as the tailor, Motel; Martin Hofkamp as the student, Perchik; Curtis Frederick as the butcher, Lazar Wolf; Sean Jones as the innkeeper, Mordecha; Isaac Burnett as the Rabbi; Seth Topham as the Rabbi’s son, Mendel; Matthew Scott, the bookseller as Avram; Andrew Sheffler as the beggar, Nachum; Kortney Foth as Grandma Tzeitel; Brian O’Neal as the constable; Brody Kyle as the Russian, Fyedka; Derek Schmidt as the Russian, Sasha; Julie Wedel as Motel’s mother, Snaindel; Brad Slocum as the hat seller, Yussel; and Nicholas Preheim, Brianna Larsen, Jenipher Huls, Paige Lewis, Mikayla Winter, Ashley Weems, Kayla Partridge, Emma Charles, Tracy Henry, Christa Elliott, and Mackenzie Young as villagers.
