James Sandwell of Hillsboro, a brother of Mrs. Earl Janzen of Peabody, was killed late Monday afternoon in a cave-in at Hillsboro in the bottom of a sewer excavation.

Jess Seibel has been named to the Peabody Fire Department.

At least three members of Peabody FFA will be among more than 500 members of Kansas Association of FFA in Kansas City this week. Bernard Hansen will serve as alternate State Sentinal, Dennis Fisher will play cornet, and John Wohlgemuth will play trombone in the National FFA Band.
