Marion Chamber of Commerce continues its Christmas bonus bucks contest, with drawings for cash prizes Saturday and Wednesday afternoons.

Winners in past weeks have been Audrey McLinden, $100; Jessie Bowers, $60; Ethel Bredemeier, Betty Lee, and Vivian Conyers, $50 each; and Helen Winter, $15.

Sophomore guard Jami Shirley scored 24 points and the Lady Warriors stole a game Thursday at Canton-Galva, winning 49-41.

Fred and Virginia Shields, operators of Shields Farm, a family-owned corporation, are subjects of this week’s personality profile by special feature writer Ruth Meyer.
