An estimated 60 participated in the semifinals of the second annual Grand National Tiddlywinks Tournament held Saturday in Marion. Pictured is Hugh Webb as he congratulates the new champion, Larry McGahee, after his defeat of last year’s winner, Debbie Kreutzman.

This week’s subject for the “Personality Profile” article is Harold M. “Dutch” Hauser, a person with many diverse activities.

Delegates to Boys’ State from Marion and Florence this year are Greg Boyle, Paul Loney, Brad Vannocker, Bruce Winkler, Ron Wineinger, and David Vantuyl. Alternates are Brad Seifert and Kelly Blackman.

Theresa Kroupa and Rebecca Vinduska have been named as co-valedictorians of the Marion High School class of 1980. Kroupa is the daughter of

Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Kroupa and Vinduska is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vinduska. Beth Regier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Regier is salutatorian.

According to co-owner Ralph Klein, over 200 persons filed through the food line Friday evening and as many of 800 attended the open house celebrating 19 years of business by Harder Metal Products, east of Peabody.
