Dennis Riggs pulled off the difficult task of winning a post on USD 398 Board of Education with a write-in vote at the Tuesday election.

Two members of Peabody Achievers 4-H club earned blue ribbons for their participation in the regional 4-H club day held March 16 at El Dorado. Brett Klingenberg earned one for junior piano presentation and Derek Klingenberg earned one for an intermediate instrumental solo.

Steve Robinson, son of Randy and Betty Robinson, is now serving with the Air Force stationed in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
