Don Lemley completed an agreement to sell the pharmacy to Scott Riggenback and Ken Krebiel, both pharmacists at McPherson.

The board of Peabody Historical Society is host for a Christmas celebration as a thank you to its members. The event features Frances Gehne of Halstead, one of the last of the big band era pianists, who has had her fingers flying over the keyboards for more than 80 years.

Mrs. J.D. Gaines and Mrs. Harry Scrivner spent Thursday in Blackwell, Oklahoma, visiting Mrs. Christine Hill.
