The family of Lucy Hicks requests a card shower for her as she celebrates her 96th birthday July 20.

The “historic” old Peabody Country Club hall was burned to the ground Tuesday night on purpose and will be replaced by a new structure.

Becky Henry, whose marriage to Bob Kyle will take place Aug. 4, was guest of honor at a bridal shower held Sunday afternoon at the home of LaVonne Ammeter.
