Chamber of Commerce members and city officials gathered Friday to welcome Auto House Towing and Recovery to Marion at a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house.

Marion High School cheerleaders for fall are Ashley Buckner, Heather Fine, Mikaela Fredrickson, Taylor Harms, EmmaLee Hett, and Lindsey Maytum.

Outstanding employee of the quarter at St. Luke Hospital and Living Center is Becky Hulett, technician in the physical therapy department.

Students from kindergarten through sixth grade who exemplified being responsible and respectful and doing their best during September are Emma Box, Matthew Christensen, Mackenzie Gormley, Bethany Grimmett, Shyla Harris, Emmy Hess, Marissa Jacobson, Jacob Peterson, Emily Schneider, Lindsey Sigel, Macy Sigel, Tori Smith, Dante Snyder, Logan Waner, and Tristan Williams.

Alumni, spouses, and teachers of the former Waldeck School gathered Oct. 2 at Lehigh to reminisce. The school, about three miles northwest of Lehigh, operated from 1889 through the 1955-’56 school year.
