Former Marion High School athlete Casey Nelson is seeking $500,000 in damages from the school district and two coaches. Nelson claims that the school district and coaches committed “wrongful acts” that led to his sustaining serious injuries in an April 2006 accident.

After two victories in the Cal Ripken 12-and-younger Midwest Plains regional baseball tournament, the Cottonwood Valley League All-Stars team claimed fourth place in the region.

Family reunions reported in this issue include those of descendants of the Nees Louis and Cora Penland Olsen family, the David and Marta (Neyer) Schwartzman family, the Gooding family, and the Hett family.
