Ed Jordan, who is doing most of the preliminary work for the Chautauqua, which opens two weeks from tomorrow, says he wishes those who want tents would get their orders in at once.

A committee, consisting of Myrtle Holler and Mesdames Frederick, Buell, Burton, Harsh, Haupt, Fraser, Moore, and Lawrence, from the Ladies Social Society of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will entertain on the lawn at the Lutheran parsonage this evening.

The Janzen brothers north of Peabody sold the first new wheat here last Thursday at the mill, getting 94 cents for it.
