Ever since the new bandstand was built by Carpenter Wilbert’s crew of carpenters, there has been a continual stream (perhaps that is a little strong) of persons passing in review. The second concert of the season will be given tonight from the new bandstand.

The hardest rain of the year fell in Peabody last Monday. According to the government gauge at Peabody Hardware and Lumber, it was 2½ inches.
