The Methodist church is undergoing extensive repairs and is being repainted outside and in. This week’s service will be at Masonic Opera House.

At a wedding in Peabody the other night, the groom wore monocle, frock coat, and silk hat and carried a cane.

Lightning struck a barn on the farm of Stella Liggett 10 miles southeast of Peabody shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.
