Considerable excitement prevailed in Peabody last Friday morning when it was learned that during the night two youthful bandits had stolen Dickerson brothers’ runabout car and had shot and killed Elmer Heaten, Marshal of Marion.

Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Roberts were business visitors in Wichita Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Phillips and family motored to the Burns oil field Sunday.
