Peabody perhaps never was so thoroughly done up with the grip as it has been the past week. Every doctor in the city has been busy day and night. The average last week was a funeral a week.

Mrs. Orlando Jolliffe and Miss Clara Jolliffe are this week visiting the latter’s sister Mrs. W.P. Hull and family in Iola.

Rev. J.L. Bemly has resigned as pastor of the Baptist Church.
