Harry Slaymaker, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Slaymaker, and Laura Moffett, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Moffett, were married June 24.

Release from suffering came to one of Peabody’s oldest citizens on June 28. He was born in Blakesburg, Iowa, Feb. 10, 1846, and came to Butler County in 1870, and moved to Peabody in 1880.

The Fairplay Ladies’ Aid Society will meet all day July 7 with Mrs. J.W. Heath.
