Two Marion business owners, Ida French, owner of Zimmerman’s Deli and Coffee Shop, and Tamara Christiansen, owner of PLANTations, want to expand their businesses so they have decided to join forces and share the former hardware building at Third and Main Street.

An article in this issue features guitarist Bob Delk, who has been playing music since he was about 10 years old and asked his father to teach him some chords on a ukulele.

Music has been his passion ever since. He plays with three ensembles: Men-O-Brass, Bob and the Boys, and Country Jamboree, and is proficient on ukulele, mandolin, violin, and electric guitar.

Pictured are Marion High School actors Alex Eurit, Caroline Collett, Ryan Nelson, Sarah Guetersloh, and Tim Costello as they rehearse prior to the performance of “Father of the Bride.”

The Santa Fe Depot at Florence was slated for demolition, but Bob Rusk of Wichita has negotiated with the railroad company to donate the building to Florence Historical Society. Rusk hopes to see the building preserved.
