Norma Jean Patton recently was recognized for 20 years of service with National Weather Service as a member of the National Network of Observers.

Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Nebraska, Opal Craney, and LaVonne Ammeter flew early Thursday from Wichita to Greenville, South Carolina.

The quarterly meeting of Marion County Historical Society will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at Wagon Wheel Café in Florence. Following the meeting, members will visit Doyle Place, home of Randy and Judy Mills.
