Peabody residents have begun to decorate for the Fourth of July. Bunting, flags, and patriotic decorations are showing up all over town.


A team of emergency rescuers helps lift Harry E. Fullerton of Omaha up a cliff alongside Country Dreams Bed and Breakfast. Fullerton was driving an all-terrain vehicle at the top of the cliff. The vehicle flipped twice, and Fullerton was ejected in the fall.


This cluster of silver maple trees was hit Saturday night by a vehicle probably taking the Locust Street corner too fast from Second Street. Debra Lilly of 202 Locust St. reported the incident when she saw the damage Sunday morning. Police reported several incidents of vandalism during the past weekend.
